Mark L. Meudt

Mark Meudt is responsible for communications, marketing, and public relations activities at General Dynamics Information Technology. As part of General Dynamics Information Technology’s executive management team, Meudt leads the company’s marketing campaigns and branding programs, in addition to marketing research, executive and employee communications, industry and community relations programs, and serves as the corporate liaison for government affairs.
Meudt has more than 20 years experience as an accomplished communications and marketing executive in U.S. defense, Federal, state and local government, commercial and international information technology, telecommunications/networking, and professional services marketplaces. Before joining General Dynamics, he served as the senior marketing and communications executive for both Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin’s IT sectors. Meudt provided hands-on marketing strategy and communications counsel in areas of brand development and launch and executive public outreach and media strategy to the executive leadership team. Previously, he served in operations management, marketing, and business development roles for PRC, Inc., Alcatel, and the Adams Group Inc. public relations/advertising agency. He has served on a number of advisory boards, including the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
Meudt, an award-winning journalist and PR practitioner, earned his master’s degree in public communications from the American University in Washington, D.C., and his bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland. He is a graduate of The University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business executive development program in financial management. Meudt is an NCAA All-American and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Champion in the sport of fencing.
